June 2025 has been a meaningful and inspiring month for the Vitiligo and Pigment Center (VIPC).
In addition to organizing the World Vitiligo Day educational events, we were honored to deliver three consecutive online lectures at Taipei Veterans General Hospital, Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital, and Tri-Service General Hospital, sharing clinical experience and the latest progress in vitiligo management.
🔬 Eight Years of Progress
Over the past eight years, our team has advanced in vitiligo diagnosis, immune mechanisms, melanocyte biology, and therapeutic strategies. These achievements have been published in the SCI journal Dermatologica Sinica (From zero to one: Recent advances in the pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment of vitiligo, CY Ng et al) and contributed to the Taiwanese Dermatological Association's Vitiligo Treatment Consensus, aiming to disseminate up-to-date, evidence-based knowledge. 💊 A New Era of Hope
During the lectures, we also introduced the first FDA-approved topical JAK inhibitor for vitiligo and several promising investigational drugs in the pipeline—progress that was once unimaginable, now bringing new hope to patients. 🌱 Moving Forward Together
We believe that medicine is a process of mutual learning. Sharing knowledge is not just about education; it’s about thinking together, supporting each other, and growing as a community.
We would also like to share the symbolic Vitiligo Badge, representing our connection with global experts, teams, and patients.Whether in research, clinical care, or psychological support, we walk this path together, side by side.
Thank you to all colleagues, patients, and supporters. VIPC will continue to combine science and compassion to help more people rediscover their strength. 📖 Further Reading
