✨ World Vitiligo Day 2026 | See Vitiligo, See Hope ✨

Every year on June 25, people around the world come together to recognize World Vitiligo Day—a day dedicated to raising awareness, promoting understanding, and supporting individuals living with vitiligo.

Throughout my years as a dermatologist, I have met many patients with vitiligo.

Some avoid wearing short sleeves because of their skin changes. Some lose confidence because of how others perceive them.Others spend years searching for answers before finally finding effective treatment and renewed hope.

Vitiligo is not contagious, nor is it merely a cosmetic concern.

It is an immune-mediated condition that can affect not only the skin, but also psychological well-being, quality of life, and social interactions.

Fortunately, there is encouraging news.

Over the past decade, significant advances in vitiligo research and treatment have transformed the landscape of care. From phototherapy and immune-modulating treatments to newer targeted therapies, more patients than ever are experiencing meaningful improvement and renewed confidence.

To mark World Vitiligo Day 2026, we are partnering with the Taiwanese Dermatological Association (TDA), the Vitiligo and Pigment Society (ViPS), and multidisciplinary healthcare teams across Taiwan to host a series of educational events for patients, families, and the public.

Together, we hope to provide reliable medical information, encourage meaningful conversations, and remind every patient that they are not alone.
